Georgia Natural Gas is a Proud Sponsor of the 2008 Tour de Georgia
April 21-27, 2008
Over 600 Miles
Twenty Cycling Teams
And Only One Georgia Natural Gas!
Georgia Natural Gas is thrilled to help sponsor America’s premier professional cycling event, the 2008 Tour de Georgia. Professional cyclists from more than 20 countries compete in the race, scheduled April 21st through 27th. Chances are the race will be in a Georgia town near your home since it runs 600 miles from Tybee Island to Atlanta!
It’s a Race for a Good Cause
Tour de Georgia is just one way that GNG supports activities statewide that improve the lives of Georgia’s children. The Aflac Cancer Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, which benefits from the race, is one of the largest pediatric cancer facilities in the US, treating more than 300 newly diagnosed cancer patients and more than 1,000 sickle cell patients each year.

Atlanta
Stage 7 (April 27th)
The final race stage in Atlanta begins and finishes at Centennial Olympic Park and runs 10 full laps through Downtown totaling 62.7 miles. Our employee volunteers will have a fun booth at the Centennial Park finish line on April 27th from 11 a.m. - 5:00. Be sure and stop by.
